The first thing to do is to open an account and download the software and apps. If you have decided to use it for one or more of the reasons cited in that article, then this one will help you get started. Like others, I wish it did more, and hopefully, that will come. Despite glacier-like development over the last few years, I still think it’s the best at what it does. It is worth checking out to determine if you even want to get started with it. Here it works directly on the offline data. The behavior described above is no longer the case with EN 8.24 for iOS. This is plain observation and deduction - I might be wrong, but I do not think so.ĮDIT: After feedback from rechecked. The app obviously first updates the server, and then from the servers master it updates the offline copies. So it goes to the server, even when it was created on the very device where all stuff is already saved for offline use. And after that (if you look to the corresponding symbols) it will sync back to the offline notes.
Observation 2: When I change a note, or create a new one, it will be synced to the server. EN will not go and get it directly, it goes through the server. All this when the note is „offline“ available on my iPad already.
It may take a while until the content is available. The Little Wheel will turn, indicating an internet data flow. Observation 1: When opening a note, that contains an attachment like a pdf, I must click on the pdf symbol to start the download.
Nearly all of my notebooks are defined as „offline“ and copied to my iPad Pro.
